This Remington manufactured early variation receiver is for the No. 6 falling block rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a gryish brown patina with a few faint specks of pin prick pitting and possibly some faint traces of mellowed original color case hardening in the protected areas. The left side of the receiver is stamped "Patented July 22, 1902". This is the only part on the No. 6 falling block rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photos)
